Registration & Submission

Registration & Submission

  1. Submit your registration using the application form here 
    Registration is opened for all nationalities.

  2. Upload your Proof of Payment. 

  3. Upload your completed Chapter In Book Publication

  4. Individuals or teams of not more than 4 members and 1 team leader (maximum total of 5 persons per team) are welcome to take part in the competition. 

  5. The project must have a product prototype and have commercialization values.

  6. Organizers will provide one 2 x 3 inch table for product display and one chair. 

  7. Participants are advised to be present at respective booths throughout the event.

  8. Please prepare a bunting presentation with own stand using the bunting size of 24"w x 72"h. The content may include  â€‹Name of Project, Leader and Project Members & InstitutionIntroduction/BackgroundProblem StatementObjectivesNoveltyBenefit to the user, Benefit to the societyCommercialization potential and Awards/recognition received.     

  9. ​Participants are responsible to obtain Intellectual Property (IP) protection for their product.​

  10. The organizers have the right to reject any application it seems unsuitable for the competition.

  11. Registration will be closed once the estimated 100 booths for participation are filled.

  12. RM100 penalty will be given if participants cancel their participation on the event day. The fees paid is non-refundable.

  13. The winner will receive one participant certificate, one award certificate and one medal. Each group will receive the light refreshment, participant tag and souvenir for two persons per group upon registration.

PUBLICATION OF CHAPTER IN BOOK

The organizer of
I-TIEC2019 will produce a chapter in book in conjunction with the event. Participants are invited to submit an extended abstract as part of chapter in book around 3 to 4 pages describing your innovative project. The essay must strictly follow the template below. The fee for the publication is charged at RM50/USD15 per submission. 

​
​This is optional, but you are highly encouraged to submit it. One group will be given a copy of Hard copy Book indexed by ISBN (those who submit only).


Extra book can be requested and will be charged for RM30.

The submission deadline is on 
10 November 2019. Strictly no submission is accepted after the deadline. 

COPYRIGHT REGISTRATION

All participants are now invited to submit their works for copyright registration. Copyright includes literary, musical, artistic, film and sound recording.

 

We will open a booth for your registration with a copyright staff from My-IPO and commissioner of oaths during the event.

The organizing of the Tinker Innovation Entreprenuership Challenge (TIEC) was first mooted by the student's club -Makers Club in collaboration with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Industry, Community & Alumni Network (ICAN) UiTM Johor in an effort to promote innovations in all faculties as feeders for participation at the university level IID and IIDEX (Invention, Innovation and Design Exposition).  The first and second TIEC was held in PTDI, UiTM Kampus pasir Gudang in the year 2015 at the UiTM Pasir Gudang level focusing on Diploma Final Year Projects. Beginning 2016, the TIEC organizing committee with great confidence and anticipation, organized TIEC for the first time at the state level. The strive for excellence has led TIEC this year to open to other Diploma students from different institution but focusing in Johor area. The category is also added to school categories. Now we are hosting the I-TIEC2019 at UiTM Pasir Gudang, we hope to see all of you there.
